Our tyre sealants can be used in any pneumatic tyre and can perform an instant puncture repair in a wide range of on and off-road equipment. A variety of sectors including haulage, construction, agriculture, waste management, and the armed forces have all used our tyre sealant to protect the tyres on a range of equipment including loading shovels, telehandlers, backhoes, dumper trucks, lorries, tractors, trailers, ATVs, 4x4s, and even wheelbarrows! All these examples and many more have been successfully treated with our recommended grade of tyre sealant.
Our tyre sealants can carry out an instant puncture repair on up to 95% of tread area punctures. Rim, bead, and other slow air leaks are eliminated, increasing tyre life by up to 20% and fuel efficiency by up to 3%. Our tyre sealants can also help decrease the likelihood of ‘blowouts’ and ‘bead roll-offs’ by maintaining optimum tyre pressure. Equally importantly, our products are homogeneous and will not separate therefore always ensuring effective performance.
We have three different tyre sealant formulations, with each grade specifically designed for certain environments. The following table gives a brief outline of each grade of tyre sealant and their applications.

Air-Seal Products provides a variety of packaging options with different installation methods. Our popular pail and pump system is designed to be installed with back-pressure in the tyre through the valve stem. The BIB product requires the bead to be broken and the tyre sealant is then poured directly into the tyre chamber. Finally, the 950ml bottles and 4 litre jugs are installed through the valve stem after the tyre has been deflated.
Our tyre sealant range is most effective when installed early in the tyre life, as the product can perform an instant puncture repair as soon as a penetration occurs. However, our products can also be installed post-puncture. It will be necessary to re-inflate the tyre to the correct pressure and rotate the tyre by driving the vehicle immediately following installation. This allows the fibres within the tyre sealant to interlock in the puncture site and form a seal. It may also be necessary to flex the tyre to help ‘work’ the fibres in to the back of the puncture site, this can be achieved by running the vehicle/machine over uneven ground.
Our tyre sealant is up to 95% effective in tubeless tyres and up to 75% effective in tubed tyres.
If the tyre is damaged beyond the capabilities of the tyre sealant, then the tyre can still be repaired with conventional methods such as a ‘plug’. Clean the surrounding area of the puncture with a damp cloth and carry out the puncture repair, being careful not to contaminate the tyre sealant during the procedure. If there has been a significant loss of product from the tyre, it should be replaced to ensure continued tyre protection.
Our tyre sealant range have an indefinite shelf life and will last for the legal life of the tyre and beyond. In larger applications, the tyre sealant can even be removed from the tyre and re-used!
Yes, a permanent puncture repair is achieved by the interlocking fibres and fillers creating a flexible seal in the tyre wound.
The installation method of our tyre sealant range will depend on the packaging option you purchase. Installation of our popular pail and pump system can be completed in three easy steps.
- Remove the valve core and deflate the tyre (if necessary) to 40psi.
- Attach the installation pump to the valve stem and open the valve on the hose end.
- Pump in the required dosage amount based on the tyre size (use our Quantity Calculator to determine the amount of product needed for your application), reinstall the valve core and re-inflate the tyre to the manufacturer’s specifications.
Please note: For bottle and jug applications you will need to deflate the tyre completely.
Yes, it’s VERY important that the recommended quantities are installed into the tyre. This ensures maximum protection for the life of the tyre.

We recommend that the vehicle is driven immediately if you remove a puncturing object. The instant puncture repair occurs within seconds with almost no air-loss meaning the operator may not even realise a puncture has occurred.
No, our tyre sealant range has an indefinite life span. We recommend that the lid is replaced after installation of the product to prevent a ‘skin’ forming. Though this is easily stirred in ready for the next installation, should it occur.
No, our tyre sealant contains corrosion inhibitors to prevent this from occurring. Aluminium rims are also protected.
No, our tyre sealant provides three-way protection. Firstly, the corrosion inhibitors within the tyre sealant formula will protect the steel belting. Secondly, the seal formed will prevent water from entering through the puncture site into the tyre and belting. Finally, our tyre sealant will help maintain optimum tyre pressure and prevent the ingress of water.
No, our tyre sealant performs a purely mechanical repair, there is never any reaction between the tyre sealant and any of these materials.

Our tyre sealants are all water washable and will not stick to the inside of the tyre, rims, or beads like other brands. If necessary, our tyre sealant can easily be flushed out of the tyre with cold water.
Our tyre sealant contains either propylene or ethylene glycol, which are also used in anti-freeze products. These are classed as non-hazardous for shipping purposes. Our tyre sealant formulations do not contain either caustic or acidic materials. If there is a spillage, clean up using absorbent materials and wash down the area with water. Our tyre sealants are neither acidic nor caustic and contain no volatile organic compounds. Glycol products are safe to handle but we recommend the use safety glasses and gloves during installation.
