Air-Seal Products is a family-run business that has been supplying their range of premier tyre sealants worldwide for over 20 years. These premium tyre sealants are a major solution to tyre management and have been proven to reduce operating and tyre replacement costs. They can prevent 95% of punctures up to 30mm in the tread area of a tyre, giving a permanent repair for the life of the tyre. Profitability of businesses in the transport sector is threatened as fuel price soars and hits an all time high. Fuel prices could rise by a further 50% as the cost of crude oil increases due to sanctions imposed on Russia by Western nations.

A rise in diesel to £3 is “definitely in the realms of possibility” according to Dr Amrita Sen, chief oil analyst at the research consultancy Energy Aspects. She warned that the UK could follow Germany’s example who begin rationing diesel at the end of this month.

Fuel is around a third of costs for a haulier – when you factor in the recent increase in labour costs (20-30%) and in HGV costs – this huge price rise in fuel will have a significant impact on a business’s bottom line.

The team at Air-Seal are coming together to take part in their first charity event of the year. They will each walk 28 miles throughout the month of February to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK. This is a dedicated 28 miles outside of their normal day-to-day activity to support the charity.

Alzheimer’s Research UK believes in the power of research to change the future. Their mission is to bring about the first life-changing dementia treatment by 2025, with the vision of a world where people are free from the fear, harm, and heartbreak of dementia. Without effective treatments, one in three children born today, will die with dementia.

The charity is only able to fund ground-breaking research projects because of the amazing fundraising our supporters conduct yearly. A current project is the Early Detection of Neurodegenerative Diseases initiative, which aims to detect dementia years before they start. You can read more about this ambitious project here.

Air-Seal have been personally affected by this degenerative disease with close friends and family members suffering with dementia. The whole team has come together to support those in need and rise to the 28 mile challenge.

A challenging decision has been made, due to the significant increase in the uncertainty  of COVID-19 regulations in the UK, and throughout Europe, to cancel the LAMMA event in January. The event will now be held on the 4th & 5th May 2022.

Air-Seal Products were delighted to attend the Saltex Show earlier this month and it didn’t disappoint!  From the minute the doors opened the customers old and new flocked to our stand and the demo wheel was certainly put to good use, showing just how effective our product is.

Thank you to all who visited us, it was great to see our regular customers, putting names to faces and we are very much looking forward to getting to know our new customers and helping them with their puncture problems.
